Paranormal Activity - Good Horror Movie Alert!

A big thumbs up for the trailer for the new horror movie ‘Paranormal Activity’, it uses the ‘audience freaking out’ routine to great effect, and it looks genuinely frightening..there’s something about the hand held / fly on the wall camera routine that still spooks..not sure when it hits the UK.

The Descent 2

The Descent was nifty little horror film about a group of women who went on a caving holiday and sadly got chomped one by one by a group of nasty underground zombies…mmm nice, they’ve made a follow up..check out the hilarious voiceover..

District 9 opens big

Sci fi thriller District 9 opened big over the weekend in the States, the Aliens in peril movie looks good, but as previously mentioned we’re still to be convinced by the Aliens!

Zombieland

Yet another Zombie pic due for release, and this Woody Harlsen starring flick looks like its could be fun..check out the trailer below,,over 18’s only please..

Twilight Saga..where there’s a hit there’s a writ..

twilight

The unstopable guggernaught that is the Twilight saga takes a lega twist as an unknown 21 yr old places a cease and desist order on Stephenie Meyer’s publisher claiming that she stole parts of the story for her latest blockbuster Breaking Dawn..has anyone read these books? I kind of like the idea of vampires and teenage angst but I something puts me off..maybe its because I’m not a teenage girl…

This is Ridiculous!

mj

Check out Michael Jackson’s ghost on Larry King live..crazy shit!

Spooky!

Its probaly fake but I’ve had a long weekend and I’m really exhausted so it made jumpy eventhough not much happens..

Daybreakers…more bloodsucking

daybeakers

More vampire shenaningans with the forthcoming Daybreakers, interesting cast with Willem Dafoe, Sam Neil and Ethan Hawke about a bunch of bloodsuckers dealing with the fact that blood is running out and along with the humans that supply it..check it out..

American Werewolf in London set for remake..

werewolf

Looks like John Landis has sold the rights to his legendary werewolf movie “An American Werewolf In London”, which is undoubtedly one of the best werewolf movies ever made, fusing genuine scares with some exceedingly funny and gory moments..its does of course boast a groundbreaking werewolf transformation scene which might now seem a little dated but at the time was revolutinary. Throw in Jenny Agutter and you’ve got a classic..wonder what those nice people at Dimension (Remake every horror movie) Films will do..

District 9

district9

Produced under the watchful eye of Peter “Lord of the Rings” Jackson District 9 looks like it could be fun, some kind of alien lifeform has landed in what looks like South Africa, and the suspense ratchets as the situations downward spirals..I would have kept the alien hidden.
